Frequently asked questions
- Does the order of the two dates matter?
- No — the tool always returns the absolute difference, so Date A can be before or after Date B.
- What is the difference between the exclusive and inclusive count?
- Exclusive counts the gap between the two dates and includes neither endpoint — this is the standard 'days between' answer. Inclusive counts both the start and end date as well, so it is always one more. Use inclusive when both days 'count' (e.g. a hotel stay or a billed date range).
- How many days are in a week for the weeks calculation?
- Exactly 7. Partial weeks are truncated — 13 days shows 1 week, not 2.
